Bailey Jones Monte Memo
In a couple sentences, what should we know about Bailey Jones?
Bit of a contradiction – I love styling and designing but I spend my time coding for work. I’m incredibly close with my family. I hate beans.
Your home is a Mediterranean-inspired dream. What are your styling secrets?
Styling this home has been an incredible lesson in decisiveness. Something I’ve never been extremely good at. I tend to get excited by different ideas but ultimately the best thing you can do is pick a motif that’s closest to the beating heart of your taste and commit to it.
The most memorable place you’ve travelled to and why?
Really tough question. There’s still so much I have left to see but the places I have revisited are the places that have had the most impact on me. Like Rome, Paris, and Puglia. Nothing can compete with the light in Rome and how it bleaches the peach walls. Puglia is the perfect place for someone who loves the countryside and the beach. But Paris is probably where I feel most connected to.
Currently my life is very preoccupied with completing my Masters. I have two more assignments to go so I guess you could say I’m obsessed with the idea of having spontaneous plans in a week’s time.
Favourite way to style your new Monte Slippers?
These slippers are so fun to play with. They look great with white socks, or with wide legged trousers for the grandpa-core vibe. I’ve also been wearing them with a giant men’s shirt, which I think gives a nod to 90s film heroines.
